PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Bob Rolfe

Hello fellow club members:

The month of December is always a busy one for many of use as we hustle around getting those perfect gifts, decorate our homes, trim the trees and enjoy time with family and friends. This time is also filled busy for CFCA as we have several events listed on our calendar.

Starting with our upcoming annual Christmas party, which is always a wonderful way to celebrate the season. Great food, music, and time spent with fellow Corvette enthusiasts. It just doesn't get any better.

On Saturday the 11th there will be the Holiday Vette Fest at Old Town. This 2nd annual NCCC event will bring out the best of all of our cars. I am confident that CFCA will be well represented.

On the 12th we will be visiting the Russell Home to take gifts to the children. Be sure to check our website for a list of those gift ideas. At this time we will be presenting a check to the Home from several recent fund raising activities including Roger's Cruzin. The amount raised tops last year and it is all because of your hard work.

Our dinner meeting on the 16th will be held at Caddy Shack. This will be the time to welcome in the new board, enjoy some good food and a relaxing time of conversation.

On behalf of Joyce and I, we wish you and your families a very blessed Christmas and safe New Year.

Warmest wishes,

Bob

MEMBERSHIP REPORT

Hello CFCA members.

Well, the renewal period is behind us and I am happy to say that most of our diehard members have elected to return for yet another year. We will start the new year off 104 strong.

I would like to also welcome Steve Brown and Cathy Caligiuri to CFCA. Although we have met Steve at our last two meetings we have yet to meet Cathy. Hopefully she will be accompanying Steve at upcoming events. Steve and Cathy have a beautiful magnetic red convertible they just got and Steve has already begun wringing more horsepower out of the 5.7 with several modifications. Steve and Cathy live over in Webster and makes the trip over to attend our meetings. That is real dedication.

Well, that takes care of this month. The weather has been beautiful, so get your cars out and drive.

GOVERNOR'S REPORT
Ray Dettore

As I sit here with my stomach still stuffed with Thanksgiving turkey, I realize that Christmas and New Years are hastily approaching. And wow, an end to another year. As well as at the end of my serving as Governor for this club.

The past two years have been filled with highs and lows. The highs are from the friends and the fellowship Rachelle and I have received from being club members of the CFCA. I always felt proud to be the Governor of this great club. This is a giving club, shown by the sacrifices members make through homecomings and the huge car show at Roger's and many other events we do throughout the year to raise monies for the Russell Home and for our club. The lows, not club related so I'll keep them to myself.

Starting this January we will have a new club Governor, Rob McKey, so please welcome him and give him the same love and support you all have given me. With almost a complete new board to support Bob. I look forward to some fresh and new ideas to help the club grow; not only in new members but in the amount of members becoming involved with club activities. The more members that get involved the more fun we can have, the more members that get involved the easier it is hold events, the more members that get involved the more we can give back to our community!

We drive the best darn sports car in the world, be proud of it and show it off!

I will still be an active member of our club and give as much support as I possibly can.

That's all from the Ray files.

C-ya soon!

COMPETITION REPORT

Happy Holidays All!

Tis the Season to be jolly. The start of the holidays is upon us. Time to decorate the outside & inside of the house with Christmas lights & Tree Trimmings. How many out there go all out decorating for Christmas? For me its out, in and all around. This is the time of year Patty & I really enjoy. We wait for cold weather and snuggle up in front of the fireplace and listen to Christmas songs. (If it doesn't get cold enough, Patty makes me turn the Air Conditioner down real low...)

The New Year is just around the corner, and the end of my term as Competition Director. I will say farewell to that position but I will still be around. It was enjoyable to be your Competition Director.

First I would like to say thanks to all of you for your support during my two year term. Second, I would like to thank Gary W. for the nomination. Third but not last I would like to thank Lisa Cole for her support on my first year on the board. Her encouragement and kind words helped me to not to be sooooo nervous being up in front of everyone and it also made this position enjoyable. Thank-You Lisa. And last, I want to thank the rest of the board for their help & support, especially when I miss-spoke or messed up. Congratulations to the new board and I look forward to working with each of them.

Winding down this year, several of us just returned from the Keys for the Corvettes in Paradise show.

Again, this trip south was very enjoyable and I will say we came home with many trophies including the second place trophy for club participation. Thanks for all those who went and "CONGRATULATIONS CFCA".

Congratulations Mark Pfenning on your new title of "Competition Director". It feels great knowing I am passing the torch onto good hands. Now my job is done.

Farewell All!

Each brick purchase/donation will include a brass plaque, approximately 1" X 3 ", attached to the brick with the donor's name. This will be available to individuals, clubs and businesses and will be permanently displayed. Further details will be announced at a later date.

2005 Corvette Hall of Fame Inductees Selected

Chip Miller - Corvette collector, restorer and hobbyist admired for his unselfish love and involvement with the Corvette and the Corvette community. His contributions to the Corvette World left a mark that will never be forgotten. Chip Miller passed away on March 25, 2004.
Randy Wittine - Designer as part of the Corvette Team for over 30 years, Wittine's design expertise has influenced four of the six generations of Corvette. He has worked for all five Corvette Design Chiefs from 1965 to the present day.
Don Yenko - Yenko is recognized for many accomplishments in the Corvette racing era of the 1950's and 1960's. In 1961, he was part of a race team that included Dr. Dick Thompson and Grady Davis of Gulf Oil. His racing achievements helped to carve Corvette's path for the race car it has become.

Additional information on the 2005 Corvette Hall of Fame Inductees will be made available via the NCM website at www.corvettemuseum.com and in an upcoming issue of the NCM member magazine, "America's Sports Car".
